A Registered Nurse administers medicine and treatment to patients, coordinates patient care plan, performs diagnostic tests and analyzes the results, guides patients how to handle and manage illnesses after a treatment, and supervises LPNs, home care aides, and nursing aides.
RN’s gain formal education and diploma through a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN), and a diploma from an accredited nursing program. BSNs customarily take 4 years to finish while ADN and diploma programs normally require 2/3t years to complete.
Licensing and Certification
All RN’s require a Nursing License acquired upon completion of an accredited Nursing Program and passing the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN).
